Why we're comitted to creating clean candles.
More than a decade ago, our founder, Samantha, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Fueled by a mission to regain her well-being, Sam embarked on a journey to clean up her home and lifestyle. This journey revealed an uncomfortable truth: many everyday household products contain a cocktail of synthetic chemicals potentially linked to health risks.
When Sam started Strait Lights, her first priority was to make a beautiful candles but make it clean. It was a long journey to find a fragrance company with exceptional standards and an unwavering commitment to the health of both makers and users. The effort paid off though. We found a fragrance partner who shares our passion for wellness. They have spent nearly a decade leading the way in creating clean scents, free of phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, and organ or acute toxins.
We want to feel good about lighting a candle at home, and we want you to as well.
