Why we create clean candles.
More than a decade ago, our founder, Samantha, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Fueled by a mission to regain her well-being, Sam embarked on a journey to clean up her home and lifestyle. This journey revealed an uncomfortable truth about the chemicals lurking in our home that were linked to health risks.
When Sam started Strait Lights, her priority was to make beautiful candles without the toxins. It was a long journey to find a fragrance company who met these values but the effort paid off. We found a fragrance partner who shares our passion for wellness. They have spent nearly a decade leading the way in creating clean scents, free of phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, and organ or acute toxins.
