Either way, after some crazy expensive meals that didnt live up to the hype, walking into Tartines is refreshing - delicious light food at fantastic prices. 

Tartines embraces the rustic flavors of a French homestyle kitchen. Their signature open-faced sandwiches, $12ish, feel like they came fresh from a home garden. Huge in size, their simple and earthy ingredients leave you feeling light and satisfied, that is, if you can resist the counter of freshly baked pastries and cakes. Each seasonal option is homemade and priced at $7 each.
