A neighbourhood of perfectly preserved midcentury bungalows is now home to a community of creatives, families and professionals.

Holland Village is neighbourhood living at it's very best. Established in the early 1900s by Singapore’s Dutch community, Holland Village was the former home of British Army personnel and their families. Over the years, Holland Village has built a reputation for being a creative commune and an incubator for local artists, musicians and entrepreneurs.
The Scent
Inspired by sunlight dancing through open windows, the Holland Village candle blends the airy freshness of white tea and the citrus brightness of bergamot to revitalise the senses, uplift the spirit and soothe the soul.
The Scent Maker
We worked with Miranda Hendra, Founder of conscious clothing brand Summery the Label to create the essence of Holland Village.
Hailing from Australia before making Holland Village home, Miranda along with her husband, 2 teenage girls and 2 dogs have called Singapore home for 4 years.
What I love about Holland Village is the mix of old and new. The area's always busy but still feels calm and away from the hustle and bustle. I've made lifelong friends with my neighbours in Holland Village and wanted the candle to embody this sense of community and homliness. I wanted to candle that feels uplifting but also grounding and relaxing. To create this, I went with sunny floral and herbal scents mixed with a crisp white tea and the lingering warmth of cedarwood.
Fun facts about Miranda,
- Her drink of choice is a G&T or NZ Sauvignon Blanc
- She would choose summer over winter any day
- Africa is on her travel bucket list
- Miranda loves dogs, especially old dogs, one day she wants to get a huge property and live there with a bunch of rescue dogs.
