The Rote Snake-necked Turtle Bracelet celebrates one of the world's rarest freshwater turtles, found naturally only on Rote Island in Indonesia.
Known for its extraordinarily long, flexible neck, this curious turtle is unlike almost any other. Its subtle, earthy palette draws from the quiet colours of shell, water and wetland, translated into Japanese glass beads and touches of gold.
Critically endangered, the species is the focus of ongoing conservation and reintroduction work supported by Mandai Wildlife Group and Mandai Nature. A tiny bracelet for a remarkable creature whose story deserves to travel far beyond its island home.
